Kallar Kahar, Pakistan – In a devastating incident near the Kallar Kahar Salt Range, six people lost their lives when two vehicles collided and plunged into a ditch on Monday. The accident, reported by Geo News citing Motorway Police, resulted in a catastrophic fire that engulfed both vehicles.
According to a spokesperson for the highway patrol, the collision was likely caused by brake failure. The tragedy unfolded when a gas bowser breached the road divider and crashed into an oncoming vehicle, leading both to fall into the ditch.
The collision caused an immediate fire, which consumed the vehicles. Rescue teams and Motorway Police responded swiftly to the accident site upon receiving the report. Despite their quick arrival, all six victims perished at the scene.
The bodies of the deceased have been transported to the Kallar Kahar Trauma Centre. Authorities have confirmed that among the victims, four were members of the same family, traveling in the vehicle hit by the gas bowser. The other two victims were the drivers of the respective vehicles involved. Tragically, one of the deceased was a minor.
