Former minister Sheikh Rasheed was arrested from the court on May 9 after being granted bail in the case.
According to ARY News, after obtaining bail in a case, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, the head of Pakistan Muslim League Awami and former federal minister, has been arrested in court.

Sheikh Rashid is facing charges related to the May 9 incident, including an attack conspiracy on a sensitive building and the siege of the New Town police station. In a case outlining these allegations, he has been arrested upon securing bail.
Note: the Anti-Terrorism Court in Rawalpindi had granted interim bail to accused, including Sheikh Rashid, in 9 out of 13 cases related to counter-terrorism in 2023. The hearing of cases related to the May incident had been adjourned until January 25.
Following the arrest, the police have taken Sheikh Rashid into their custody. On the other hand, his attorney contends that although Sheikh Rashid has been placed under police supervision, he is required to be presented in court tomorrow for further proceedings.
