Following the surprising outcome of Pakistan’s general elections, the Pakistani Rupee saw a remarkable surge of 30 paisas against the formidable US dollar in interbank trading on Friday.
The USD’s new valuation stands at Rs279, marking a notable reversal in its trajectory leading up to the elections, despite uncertainties and speculations.
As the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) continues to announce the results, the Rupee’s resilience is evident, with it holding steady at Rs279, an uptick of Re0.34 from its previous value.
This upward trend contrasts with Wednesday’s marginal gain, where the Rupee settled at 279.34 against the USD, as reported by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
