Winter vacations have been officially sanctioned by the Punjab Government for all non-formal educational establishments, commencing from January 1 to January 10, 2024.
The Department of Literacy and Non-Formal Basic Education in Punjab has officially notified the commencement of winter vacations for all Non-Formal Education Institutions from January 1st to January 10th, 2024. The notification cited the rising severity of the weather as the reason for this decision.

The Lahore High Court ordered the Punjab government to extend the ongoing winter vacation of all schools and colleges in view of the severe cold wave across the province.
As of now, the Punjab’s Education Department has not yet released any official notification concerning this directive from the Lahore High Court for the extension of winter vacations in schools and colleges due to the severe cold wave.
