Delayed: Mohammed Bin Salman’s Visit to Pakistan Still Pending Confirmation

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman’s anticipated visit to Pakistan is currently under discussion between officials in Riyadh and Islamabad, according to government sources. Reports suggesting a delay in the high-profile visit have prompted clarifications from officials, indicating that the final date for MBS’s visit is yet to be decided. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar is actively engaging with Saudi authorities in this matter.

Earlier indications pointed to MBS’s arrival in Islamabad on May 19 for a two-day visit, but no official schedule has been confirmed. Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zehra Baloch expressed confidence that details of the visit would be made public once a schedule is finalized between both countries.

Mumtaz Zehra Baloch emphasized the significance of the visit, highlighting Pakistan’s eagerness for strengthened ties with Saudi Arabia.

The delay in MBS’s visit follows recent diplomatic and trade engagements between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, notably Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to the Kingdom in March. The visit holds importance for Pakistan, which is seeking significant investments from Saudi Arabia across various sectors.

This visit would mark MBS’s first trip to Pakistan in five years, building on previous discussions in Makkah aimed at attracting $5 billion in Saudi investments to Pakistan.

Stay tuned for further updates on the evolving situation regarding Mohammed Bin Salman’s visit to Pakistan..
