Lahore – Owner of Para Textile, Meezan Group, and Cola Next, Zulfiqar Ahmed, has safely returned to his home in Lahore. Ahmed, who was abducted on July 23 from Mari Pur Road, is now back with his family after a harrowing five-day ordeal.
According to the First Information Report (FIR) filed in Karachi, Zulfiqar Ahmed, accompanied by his friend Qaiser, was on his way to Clifton. It was around 6:00 PM when Zulfiqar Ahmed’s family received a distressing phone call informing them of his abduction. The caller reported that eight armed men had intercepted Zulfiqar Ahmed and Qaiser, forcefully taking them out of their vehicle.
The abductors then transferred the two men to their own vehicle. A short distance later, they released Qaiser but continued to hold Zulfiqar Ahmed captive, taking him to an undisclosed location.During Ahmed’s captivity, his family reached out to the Sindh High Court, seeking assistance. The court demanded a response from the relevant authorities by July 30.
Today, after five days of uncertainty and fear, Zulfiqar Ahmed has finally reunited with his family. The circumstances surrounding his abduction and release remain unclear, leaving many questions unanswered.
