ISLAMBAD – Pakistsni government on Wednesday notified public holidays 2024
The list below clearly shows the list of public and optional holidays observed in Pakistan in 2024, which will be observed in accordance with the festivals of Muslims and various minorities.
Pakistan Public holidays 2024
The notification released by the Cabinet Division mentioned that there would be a total of 11 public holidays scheduled for 2024.
- Kashmir Solidarity Day: February 5
- Pakistan Resolution Day: March 23
- Eid-ul-Fitr: April 10, 11, 12
- International Labour Day: May 1
- Eid-ul-Azha: June 17, 18, 19
- Ashura (9th,10th of Muharram): July 16, 17
- Independence Day: August 14
- Eid-Milad-un-Nabi: September 16
- Allama Iqbal Day: November 9
- Quaid-e-Azam Day/Christmas: December 25
- Day after Christmas: December 26 (Reserved for Christians)
The notification also specified that for Muslim festivals, the holiday dates are projected and reliant on the sighting of the moon. A distinct notification by the Cabinet Division will be released specifically for this purpose.
