Pakistan’s Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, and Kazakhstan’s Ambassador, Yerzhan Kistafin, recently convened to discuss enhancing cooperation in the realms of IT and Telecommunication between the two nations.
During the meeting, Minister Khawaja expressed Pakistan’s eagerness to fortify ties with Kazakhstan in these vital sectors. She proposed the establishment of a joint working group to foster connections between tech companies from both countries. Additionally, she advocated for technology transfer initiatives and exchange programs for IT experts between Pakistan and Kazakhstan.
Minister Khawaja highlighted the investment potential in Pakistan’s IT and Telecom sector, extending an invitation to Kazakhstani tech firms to explore opportunities in this burgeoning field.
Ambassador Kistafin reaffirmed his country’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Pakistan in IT and Telecom, emphasizing the mutual benefits such collaborations would yield.
The meeting was attended by key officials including Aisha Humera Moriani, Additional Secretary of MoITT, Muhammad Zohaib Khan, Chairman of Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA), and Syed Jawwad Ali Sherazi, DG of International Coordination.
