Islamabad – temporary government has declared a special nine-day break for schools, colleges, and higher education institutions in preparation for the 2024 general elections.
In sync with precedents set in Punjab and Sindh, the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training asserts that the school doors will be shut from February 6 to 9, fostering an atmosphere conducive to the upcoming general elections.
A recent notification by the capital administration has declared a public holiday from February 6 to 9.
Islamabad Schools Holidays For Elections 2024
Schools in Islamabad and certain areas are in for an extended break. With February 3-4 being the weekend and Kashmir Day on February 5, schools will be shut. Adding to this, from February 6-9, Pakistan is heading into elections, prompting another weekend closure for schools.Post this nine-day break, schools are expected to reopen on February 12. Throughout this time, both private and government schools will stay away from regular educational activities.
