Lahore is poised for an electrifying showdown with an astounding 470 contenders stepping into the ring, each vying for victory across the city’s 14 National Assembly seats in the fast-approaching general elections.
A total of 1408 nomination papers were filed for the 30 available seats. This indicates a diverse field of candidates seeking opportunities to serve their constituencies.
- NA-117: nearly 38 candidates, featuring Abdul Aleem Khan, President of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party, have formally lodged their candidacies, NA-120.
- NA-118: Hamza Shehbaz, the main figure of PML-N and the son of former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, is one of the 19 candidates vying for victory in the upcoming elections.
- NA 119: is witnessing tough competition as Maryam Nawaz, the influential leader of PML-N and daughter of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, is facing 34 contestants including Aleem Khan.
